Now that it is a little chillier, and because I rarely choose pants over a skirt, I have been adding cozy cardigans and scarves to my outfits for added warmth and accents of color. Ruffled Neck Tank

Especially when there is beading or sequins involved. This Alice & Olivia dress may perhaps be my favorite dress of all time. And of course the craftsmanship is flawless. The designers I know that I can count on to create impeccable pieces of floral art on the runway each season frequently include Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta, Kate Spade, Elie Saab, and Marchesa.
10/21/2014 0 Comments prints & patternsI love bold prints and funky patterns, even mixing them! I will admit that I struggle to be confident in loud prints, but hey, it's a work in progress. When I am wearing a print or pattern they are most frequently showcased on my shoes or shirt (cue leopard and gingham). Do you wear a lot of prints and patterns? How do you like to wear them?
10/20/2014 0 Comments black & goldFall is definitely here, and the colder weather inspired me to showcase a favorite look of mine. This black skater dress and black cashmere cardigan combo is a frequent choice of mine during the colder months. It also transitions well from day to night for those busy days with no time for an outfit change. I always choose to spice this outfit up with fun accessories. Think statement belts, funky bangles, or a fuchsia purse! Black Skater Dress (old, similar, similar)

Not only is the class discussion based and led by an incredible professor with lots of professional experience, but we also spend a huge amount of time each week discussing current events in advertising and marketing, and how they reflect brands as well as consumers. Call me a nerd, but I love spending my Sunday mornings scrolling through new campaigns and what people are talking about on AdWeek and AdAge. These are some of my recent favorites. I am absolutely in love with this campaign by Vera Wang for her Fall 2014 Bridal Collection. I think its so fresh, exciting, and honest that the personality of Vera Wang and her dresses really come out. Not to mention the ever so beautiful Josephine Le Tutour looking radiant per usual. Not only is this Under Armour "I Will What I Want" Campaign showcasing females, its showcasing ballerinas, a rare occurrence in athletic wear campaigns. And they are getting a ton of positive feedback! On a totally different note, this Budweiser Ad, "Friends Are Waiting," really tugs on your heart ever so thoughtfully while maintaining a cohesive brand concept centered around "friendship, camaraderie and enjoying great times..." Well, for those of you still with me, thanks for letting me nerd out a bit and share something that excites me. Have a favorite advertising campaign, old or new? Comment below!
